Where Raiz Madi
comes from

This platform was built from direct experience of what it means to arrive in a country without a map for its financial system.

Built from lived experience

Raiz Madi was founded in 2018 in Buenos Aires by a team with direct experience of migration. The name itself reflects the idea of putting down roots in new soil. Raiz means root. Madi is a word that evokes movement and belonging across cultures.

The founders noticed a consistent pattern among immigrants arriving in Argentina. People who were educated, capable, and resourceful in their countries of origin found themselves disoriented by the Argentine financial system. Not because it is impenetrable, but because the information needed to understand it was scattered, inconsistent, or presented in ways that assumed prior knowledge.

The platform started as a series of workshops run through community centers in Buenos Aires. Over time, the content became more structured. The digital platform followed. What has not changed is the core commitment: explain how things work without telling people what to do.

The principles behind how we work

These are not abstract values. They shape every content decision we make.

Transparency over simplification

Argentina's financial system has genuine complexity. We do not pretend otherwise. We explain that complexity in plain language, but we do not hide it. Understanding the actual picture, even when it is complicated, serves people better than a version that is easier but incomplete.

Information without pressure

We never tell you what decision to make. We explain the landscape and the considerations involved. The decision always belongs to the person making it. This is not a limitation of the platform. It is the point.

Content that stays current

Argentina's financial regulations and practices change. We review and update our educational content regularly to reflect the current environment. We note when information may be subject to change and encourage users to verify details with institutions directly.

Accessible across languages and cultures

Our platform operates in Spanish and English. We are aware that financial concepts carry cultural assumptions. We try to make those assumptions explicit and to explain Argentine financial culture in relation to other systems, not in isolation.

How we develop content

Every topic on this platform goes through a structured process before it appears.

Content is reviewed for accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance before publication.

Research and sourcing

We draw from official sources including the Banco Central de la República Argentina, AFIP, and Migraciones. We reference the specific regulations and processes that are publicly documented.

Plain language editing

Technical content is rewritten for clarity without losing accuracy. We test explanations with people who have recently arrived in Argentina to check that they land as intended.
